Luna and Frank

We are campaigning for funds to enable us to take on more horses in these dire circumstances. Often elderly, either the owners or the horses are left in a predicament not many understand and there is absolutely no help for in Western Australia.

Many many people own horses and what started off as a labour of love 30 years ago becomes a aged care difficulty when the human owner is suddenly faced with an uncertain future, the need to go into residential care, the sale of their property to fund this can also mean public trustees are left with an impossible situation.

Elderly horses have specific needs, and like people as they age their needs increase. With animal shelters not usually in a position to care for horses at all we have commenced the process of registering a not for profit charity to address this.

Our initial campaign is to fund the

horses we are already caring for and to expand our services to every aged horse in WA finding themselves in trouble with a strict but fair set of criteria.

We are currently located in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia on a dedicated equine horse property and have many many years or equine experience and our new charity has an equine vet as the core board members.

There are 10 horses including Frank and Luna who have over the years been abandoned or faced euthansia that now have a permanent retired future in our paddocks. Our intention is to do much much more and for this we need YOU.
